The Netherlands is the undisputed world leader in greenhouse construction. Dutch greenhouse builders are therefore actively involved in horticultural projects far beyond their own borders that excel in innovation and sustainability.

Greenhouse horticulture quality mark

A new greenhouse must meet high quality standards. The HortiQ BRL 8000 certificate demonstrates that a horticultural greenhouse meets these standards. Builders and installers active in greenhouse horticulture can use this to improve efficiency and demonstrate their craftsmanship. It also offers their clients the assurance that work has been carried out in accordance with clear procedures and criteria. The BRL 8000 certificate is an independent and objective quality mark for companies involved in the design and construction of horticultural greenhouses.

AVAG initiative

The HortiQ certificate based on BRL 8000 is both a system and a product certificate. It relates to the organization and quality assurance as well as the quality of the product supplied. The latter is guaranteed by the fact that BRL 8000 requires compliance with a number of ISSO publications. HortiQ is an initiative of AVAG, the platform for suppliers in the horticultural sector.

The HortiQ certificate guarantees the leading position of the Dutch greenhouse horticulture sector. With a BRL 8000 certificate, builders and suppliers of greenhouse structures and the installations used in them offer customers certainty. HortiQ is an independent and objective quality system for greenhouse builders, installation companies, and other suppliers in greenhouse horticulture.

The step-by-step plan

The step-by-step plan for HortiQ certification according to BRL 8000 is as follows:
